Choosing analog is part of my approach: it requires time, attention, and a direct
relationship with the material. The process is not fully controllable, introducing a
dimension of uncertainty that becomes part of the final result. Each image is created in
dialogue between intention and chance, between technical decisions and openness to
what emerges.
My training in transpersonal psychology informs this approach. As in my therapeutic
work, in photography I explore how different layers of experience overlap: personal and
relational, conscious and unsaid, visible and symbolic. The image offers a space for
perception and intuition, leaving room for interpretation by the viewer.
I see photography as a practice of exploration, where the focus is not on giving answers,
but on accompanying a process of perception and reflection—for both the creator and
the observer.
My work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Uruguay and
internationally, with shows in Spain, Portugal, France, and Norway between 2020 and
2025. I participated in the Experimental Photography Residency at IEFC Barcelona
(2023) and am an active member of the Experimental Photo Festival in Barcelona,
where I have worked as an exhibitor, workshop facilitator, and portfolio reviewer. I am
also part of Casa Arbus, where I teach the Experimental Analog Photography workshop,
and the collective Behique.Lab, dedicated to research in experimental analog processes.
